Dolly Parton was not just a country music artist, she was a philanthropist whose work spans childhood literacy, medical research, and disaster relief. The 'Queen of Country' was far more than that title alone, and she spent her life taking care of others.

My newest collection is inspired by one of my favorite early songs by Dolly, which is all about turning scraps into something beautiful, a lesson she learned as a little girl in the Smoky Mountains, when her mother pieced together a coat from mismatched fabric and told her every color meant she was loved. That song made me teary eyed the first time I heard it even as a little girl. What I love about Dolly was her ability to tell stories from her personal life that you could feel in your heart; there was just nothing fake about her despite her 'fake' appearance (which we all know was also intentional).

In her memory, I have prepared a small batch tribute collection inspired by two of Dolly's most iconic songs: her patchwork "coat of many colors," and her tender comparison of love to a butterfly.

Butterflies adorned the internet and social apps after her passing, and hence why I chose them as the central charm in this collection.

This collection has one more piece in the works, which will honor her Imagination Library, a cause that was close to Dolly's heart.
